CPC games, Penguin Attack and Deep, Deeper, Deepest to get physical release

Two recent Amstrad CPC homebrew releases are getting a physical release on cassette tape. The games are Penguin Attack and Deep, Deeper, Deepest. ​ In Penguin Attack, which was launched digitally last year by Pat Morita, you play as Pinwi the penguin, an expert snowball thrower, who must rescue your girlfriend Ninwina, who has been CPC games, Penguin Attack and Deep, Deeper, Deepest to get physical release

Bitmap Bureau’s Xenocrisis coming to N64 and GameCube, plus news of PS1 and GBA versions

Top down shooter, Xenocrisis, which began life on the Mega Drive, is getting released on the N64 and GameCube. As well as the Mega Drive, the game is also available on Dreamcast, Neo Geo, Evercade, Xbox One and X|S, MacOS, Steam, Switch and PS4. You can now play Tetris – the Electronika 60 version – on the Tetris website

In celebration of Apple’s Tetris movie, the Tetris company have put a version of the very first Tetris game to play on their website. The Tetris game was originally created by Alexey Pajitnov in 1984 on an Electronika 60 computer. Due to the limitations of the device at the time, there weren’t graphic capabilities so You can now play Tetris – the Electronika 60 version – on the Tetris website

Mark Moxon, a UK-based web developer, has recreated every Acornsoft box screen shot by hand. Moxon says, “I hand-crafted these images during the lockdown of 2020. It was a surprisingly therapeutic experience, and I had plenty of time to devote to making these shots as pixel-perfect as possible.
